With its striking tone and durability, Bloodwood has become a popular choice for a wide range of functional and decorative pieces. Emerging from the saw mill a pale orange, it ages over time to a deep, lustrous red. It has a remarkably silky-fine texture. These thin boards are machined S4S to 1/8 and 1/4 thicknesses, eliminating wear and tear on your planer. You won’t have to worry about chipout, which is difficult to prevent when planing thin stock. Thin boards are ideal for edging, veneering, inlay, marquetry, sides for decorative boxes, bending stock, bent laminations and whatever else your imagination can dream up!
